The Queen of Witchcraft

Mirah is an outcast in her village because men associated with her keep dying under mysterious circumstances. She finds shelter at a Padang restaurant owned by Bana, who develops feelings for her. Mirah eventually learns that her stepsister, Puti, placed a deadly curse on her known as Bahu Laweyan, which kills any man she becomes intimate with. Seeking vengeance, Mirah attempts to ruin Puti's marriage by targeting her husband. Throughout this conflict, Mirah and Bana attempt to maintain their relationship despite the lethal risk.

This Indonesian horror drama was produced by IDN Pictures and directed by Fajar Nugros, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Husein M. Atmodjo. This is the third film directed by Nugros, following Sleep Call and Sosok Ketiga: Lintrik, and preceding Bapak Paling Jujur. The movie features a cast of 55 credited performers, led by Raihaanun, Clara Bernadeth, and Morgan Oey, with supporting roles played by Rukman Rosadi, Aurra Kharishma, and Didik Nini Thowok. The film has a runtime of 97 minutes.
