The Cut

A retired boxer attempts to reclaim a championship title after being offered a chance to compete in Las Vegas. To qualify for the fight, he must rapidly lose a significant amount of weight. He isolates himself in a hotel room to follow an illegal and intensive weight-reduction program led by an unscrupulous trainer. As the process continues, the physical and mental strain causes the athlete to struggle with hallucinations and a fading grip on reality, while a woman in his life tries to prevent his collapse.
