Herbie Altman is a financial expert who is sent to prison after his boss frames him for stock fraud during a government investigation. While incarcerated, he begins helping other prisoners invest their money. This leads to the secret creation of an investment firm called Con Inc., which he operates from within the prison walls while avoiding the notice of the guards and the warden. The situation becomes complicated when federal agencies start investigating the company's success.
