The Pink Panther Strikes Again

Chief Inspector Clouseau's bungling has driven his superior, Charles Dreyfus, out of his mind. Dreyfus has been confined to a psychiatric institution, but a visit from Clouseau pushes him over the edge again, and he escapes, determined to do away with the man who ruined his life. His scheme grows far beyond a personal grudge: he builds a weapon of enormous destructive power and threatens a whole nation unless Clouseau is handed over to him. Interpol assigns Clouseau to the case, and a string of hired killers joins the hunt as well.

The Pink Panther Strikes Again is a British-American comedy crime film directed by Blake Edwards, who also wrote the screenplay with Frank Waldman and produced it. It is the thirteenth of the twenty-seven films Edwards directed, following The Return of the Pink Panther and preceding Revenge of the Pink Panther. Peter Sellers returns as Clouseau, with Herbert Lom as Dreyfus; Leonard Rossiter, Colin Blakely, Graham Stark and Byron Kane are among the credited cast of sixty-four. The film had a budget of six million dollars and took thirty-four million dollars worldwide.
