Crypto Storm

Lok, a high-ranking investigator for the Independent Commission Against Corruption, leads a specialized team to examine market manipulation involving cryptocurrency. To gather internal evidence, he collaborates with a software developer from a major trading platform. The investigation reveals the financial collapse of a bank and identifies a bank executive as a primary suspect. The case escalates from a financial crime to a criminal matter when the bank's head is kidnapped and a ransom is demanded in the same cryptocurrency used for the market manipulation, leading Lok to suspect a larger conspiracy.

Directed by Terry Ng Ka-wai, this film is the second in a sequence of works that includes Triad 2 and Triad 3. The production was handled by Mandarin Motion Pictures Limited in Hong Kong.
