Beast of War

During World War II, a group of young Australian soldiers is stranded in the Timor Sea after their ship is sunk by enemy forces. The survivors manage to gather on a small raft far from land, where they must deal with limited resources and internal disputes. Their struggle for survival is complicated by the presence of a large, hungry great white shark that begins to hunt them in the open water.

Directed and written by Kiah Roache-Turner, this film follows Sting (2024) as his fifth feature project. It is an Australian production from Pictures in Paradise and Bronte Pictures, blending the action, horror, thriller, and war genres. The cast includes Mark Coles Smith as Leo, Joel Nankervis as Will, Sam Delich as Des Kelly, Maximillian Johnson as Stan, Lee Tiger Halley as Teddy, and Sam Parsonson as Thompson.
