Adam Sandler: Love You is a stand-up comedy special in which Adam Sandler performs before a live audience. The set mixes songs with jokes, and it also brings in uninvited dogs that wander into the performance. Sandler wrote the material himself and is the central performer, joined on stage by guests including Rob Schneider, Dan Bulla and Jackie Sandler. The special runs 74 minutes and was released in August 2024.
It was directed by Josh Safdie, who had previously made the features Daddy Longlegs, Heartland, Heaven Knows What, Good Time and Uncut Gems, and who went on to direct Marty Supreme. This was the sixth of the seven films he has directed, and it marks a shift for him from narrative features into filmed comedy performance. Safdie also produced alongside Sandler and Ronald Bronstein, with production handled by Happy Madison Productions and Central Pictures. The credited cast numbers twenty.
On IMDb, the special holds a rating of 6.7 out of 10 from roughly 2,900 votes, indicating a fairly positive response from a sizeable number of viewers. The rating on TMDB stands at 6.2 out of 10, based on a much smaller set of 44 votes, so that figure rests on far less audience input. The two scores sit fairly close together.
