Bad River

Bad River is a documentary about the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and their efforts to preserve Lake Superior. The film explores the tribe's history of activism, focusing on a legal conflict with the Canadian company Enbridge Energy. This dispute centers on the Line 5 oil pipeline, which has operated on a portion of tribal land with expired easements for over ten years, leading to a legal battle that began in 2019.
