Mad Props

Mad Props is a documentary about an enthusiast who travels around the world with the aim of challenging how the art establishment regards film props. He sets out to persuade historians and critics that the objects used in movies deserve recognition as an art form on the level of the great paintings and sculptures of history.

The film is directed by Juan Pablo Reinoso, who also wrote the screenplay, placing it in his body of work as a filmmaker. It features appearances by Mickey Rourke, Lance Henriksen and Robert Englund, each credited as themselves. The documentary was released on February 26, 2024.
