This documentary follows filmmaker Thomas Pickering as he explores why many people believe they cannot adopt a vegan lifestyle. Drawing from his own history of growing up in a vegetarian household and later becoming vegan, Pickering travels to investigate common arguments against the movement to determine if they are valid. The film examines dietary culture and the human relationship with food through a series of personal testimonies and inquiries.
Directed by Thomas Pickering, this was the first of two listed films in his career, followed by He Kills at Night in 2025. The screenplay was written by James Pickering, who also served as a producer alongside Thomas Pickering. Produced in the United Kingdom by several companies, including I Could Never Ltd. and Dartmouth Films, the project features a credited cast of 36 people. Those appearing as themselves include medical experts such as GP specialist Minil Patel and consultant haematologist Shireen Kassam, as well as nutritionist Rohini Bajekal, professional climber Dean Maher, and powerlifting champion Sophia Ellis. The film has a total runtime of 97 minutes.
