Sumala

Based on an urban legend, this Indonesian horror thriller focuses on a vengeful spirit named Sumala. The story takes place in a village within the Semarang Regency, where residents live in fear of the night. Sumala returns to target the community to avenge the wrongs committed against her sister.

Directed by Rizal Mantovani, the film was released in 2024 as part of a prolific year for the filmmaker.
