A businessman mired in debt goes to an apple orchard inherited from his father to sell it and settle financial problems. But it turns out that the garden is not empty: it is inhabited by people who are fighting for the preservation of the Almaty airport, and the ghosts of his own past.
What's left behind the scenes
- Berik Aitzhanov and Almira Tursyn were considered for the lead roles in the film, but declined to participate due to the rescheduling of the filming dates.
- Filming was supposed to start in August 2020, but was pushed back to autumn and then to December, which necessitated several rewrites of the script.
- Cinematographer Aziz Zhambakiev shot the film using a camera that had previously been used for the filming of 'Avatar: The Way of Water'.
