Transformers: 40th Anniversary Event

This cinematic event celebrates four decades of the Transformers franchise, which began in 1984. The presentation features the original voice cast reuniting after many years to revisit their roles. The experience begins with a split-screen presentation that pairs a behind-the-scenes table read with the first episode of the original Saturday morning series, followed by the next three installments of the first season. The event concludes with a preview of a new season of Transformers EarthSpark.

Directed by John Gibbs, this action and science fiction animation was a joint production between the United States and Japan, involving Hasbro, Toei Animation, Marvel Productions, and Sunbow Productions. The screenplay was written by George Arthur Bloom, Bryce Malek, and Dick Robbins. The voice cast includes Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Ironhide, Frank Welker as Megatron and several other characters, and Dan Gilvezan as Bumblebee and Shockwave. Other contributing voices include Gregg Berger, Frank Todaro, and Arif S. Kinchen. The film was released on April 10, 2024, with a total runtime of 96 minutes.
