Firewalker

Firewalker follows Max Donigan and Leo Porter, two self-styled adventurers whose luck has run out. Into their lives comes Patricia Goodwin, who holds a map pointing to a legendary cache of Aztec gold, and who needs the pair to help her reach it. The three set off into dangerous territory, pursued by rivals and threatened by forces determined to keep the treasure where it lies. The film is a comic adventure pairing wisecracking heroes with a treasure hunt through jungle and desert, and it stars Chuck Norris as Max, Louis Gossett Jr. as Leo, and Melody Anderson as Patricia, alongside Will Sampson, Sonny Landham and John Rhys-Davies.

The film was released in November 1986 and runs 104 minutes. J. Lee Thompson directed it, the eighteenth of the twenty-one films he directed in chronological order, arriving between King Solomon's Mines in 1985 and Murphy's Law in 1986. Robert Gosnell wrote the screenplay, Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus produced, and it was a Cannon Group and Golan-Globus Productions release made for a budget of eight million dollars. Its worldwide gross of around twelve million dollars represents a modest return on that outlay.
