The Impatient Alchemist

A naked man is found tied to a bed in a roadside motel, prompting a high-pressure investigation. Sergeant Ruben Bevilacqua and his partner Virginia Chamorro are tasked with the case, which draws intense media scrutiny because the victim, Trinidad Soler, was a nuclear engineer. While the victim appeared to be a well-regarded family man with no obvious enemies, investigators discover he arrived at the motel with a beautiful young woman who vanished. Although the case is initially closed as an accident, the discovery of a woman's body in a forest three months later forces the officers to reopen the inquiry.

This thriller is a co-production between Spain and Argentina. It was directed by Patricia Ferreira, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Lorenzo Silva and Enrique Jiménez. In terms of her directing career, this was her first film, followed by Señora de in 2010. The movie was produced by Gerardo Herrero and features a cast including Roberto Enríquez as Bevilacqua and Ingrid Rubio as Chamorro, with supporting roles played by Chete Lera, Adriana Ozores, Miguel Ángel Solá, and Jordi Dauder.
