My National Gallery, London

My National Gallery, London is a documentary that explores the two-century history of one of the world's most prominent art galleries. The film focuses on how art communicates with individuals regardless of their personal beliefs or knowledge of art history. It features a diverse group of people connected to the institution, including staff members ranging from cleaners and security guards to curators and the director. These individuals, along with members of the royal family and various celebrities, discuss the specific artworks that hold the most meaning for them, selecting both famous and obscure pieces.

The film was co-directed by Phil Grabsky and Ali Ray, who also co-wrote the screenplay. For Phil Grabsky, this project follows Hopper: An American Love Story and precedes Caravaggio. For Ali Ray, this production comes after two versions of Klimt & the Kiss and before Dawn of Impressionism: Paris 1874 and Renoir & Love. Produced by Grabsky through Seventh Art Productions and Exhibition on Screen, the 98-minute film features appearances by Michael Palin, Claudia Winkleman, Terry Gilliam, Princess Eugenie, Gabriele Finaldi, and Jacqueline Wilson.
