Breakage

Breakage is a German drama centered on three young criminals who are organizing a second heist after completing a previous robbery. While the group is initially excited, their confidence fades as they deal with internal conflicts and suppressed desires. This emotional shift leads the trio to question the viability of their plan.

Written, produced, and directed by Maximilian Karakatsanis, the film followed his earlier 2022 work, Fasolákia, and preceded his 2026 film, Beneath the Night. The cast features Darja Mahotkin as Larissa, Mariann Yar as Tara, and Felix Mayr as Mo. Produced by Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln, the short film has a runtime of 28 minutes.
