Sauna Day

Sauna Day is a documentary drama set in Southern Estonia. The film explores the private lives of men who visit a smoke sauna following a demanding workday. It focuses on the tension between their rugged public personas and a hidden yearning for emotional intimacy and connection.

The film was co-directed by Anna Hints and Tushar Prakash, who both previously collaborated on Estonian Man in 2024. For Hints, this production follows Smoke Sauna Sisterhood, Estonian Man, and The Weight Of Light. The screenplay was written by both directors and produced by Evelin Penttilä and Johanna Maria Paulson through Stellar Film. The cast features Agur Seim as Hillar and Rasmus Kaljujärv as Jaak, alongside several other men appearing in the sauna scenes.
