Short description

This true-crime documentary looks at a man in 1990s Seattle who carried out an extraordinary series of bank robberies, in the manner of a Hollywood film. It examines the figure at the center of the crimes and the pursuit that closed in on him and his crew.

The film is directed by Stephen Robert Morse and Seth Porges. It follows Morse's earlier EuroTrump, released in 2017, and is the second feature he has directed. The screenplay is credited to Maxim Gertler-Jaffe, Stephen Robert Morse and Max Peltz, who also produced alongside Gertler-Jaffe and Porges. The cast mixes dramatized figures with interviewees appearing as themselves: Jordan Burtchett plays Scott Scurlock, while Mark Biggins, Susan Dodd, Ellen Glasser, Steven Harper and Deborah Horne appear as, respectively, a friend of Scott, a bank manager, an FBI supervisory special agent, a childhood friend and a news anchor. Thirty-three cast members are credited in all.

The film runs 87 minutes. It holds a rating of 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb, based on around 4,500 votes, and 6.7 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of 71 votes. Both scores point to a moderately received documentary whose audience has remained small.
