The Treasure of Barracuda

The Treasure of Barracuda is an animated adventure film set in the Caribbean. The story follows Captain Barracuda, a pirate driven by an obsession to locate the legendary riches of Phineas Crane. To find the treasure, the captain relies on a girl named Sparks, who disguises herself as a boy to survive among the crew. Because Sparks is the only person on the ship who can read, she is the only one capable of deciphering a written map found within a recovered manuscript.

Directed by Adrià García, this production follows his earlier work, Nocturna, released in 2007. The screenplay was written by Amèlia Mora. The voice cast features Angel del Rio as Barracuda and Laia Vidal as Chispas, alongside Mark Ullod, Esther Solans, Germán José, and Francesc Belda. Produced through a collaboration between companies in Belgium and Spain, including RTBF and Belvision, the film had a credited crew of 56 members. This family-oriented movie has a runtime of 90 minutes.
