Trans Memoria is a documentary that follows Victoria Verseau as she reflects on her transition and her 2012 journey to Thailand. Through a personal diary approach, she examines the components of womanhood and the construction of her own identity. The narrative blends memories of her surgery with the grief of losing a close friend named Méril. Victoria connects with Athena Love and Aamina Larsson, who are beginning their own transitions, as they collectively confront the past to seek a more positive future.
This film marks the directorial and screenwriting debut of Victoria Verseau, who also appears as herself alongside Athena Love and Aamina Larsson. A joint production between France and Sweden, the project involved several production companies, including Gotlands Filmfond, Pictanovo, Les Films du Bilboquet, and HER Film. Produced by Malin Hüber and Mathilde Raczymow, the film has a total runtime of 72 minutes.
