Soda

Set in 1956, this drama follows a seamstress who moves into a neighborhood populated by Holocaust survivors. Her arrival sparks rumors that she served as a Capo during the war, causing tension throughout the community. Shalom, a former resistance fighter and local leader, finds himself conflicted as he develops feelings for the woman while feeling a duty to uncover the truth about her history.

The film was directed by Erez Tadmor, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Shlomo Efrati. It marks the start of a series of directorial works for Tadmor, preceding Matchmaking 2 and Matchmaking 3. The production was an Israeli venture supported by United King Films, yes, Keshet International, and the Ministry of Culture and Sport. Rotem Sela stars as Eva, while Lior Raz plays Shalom Gotlib. The movie has a runtime of 96 minutes.
