Set in modern Cairo, this drama follows Toha, an eight-year-old maid who works for a wealthy family. She shares a close bond with her employer's daughter, Nelly, and works hard to make sure Nelly's birthday celebration is a success. Through Toha's desire to experience the joy of such a party, the story examines social hierarchies and the reality of class division in Egypt, especially as Toha's relationship with Nelly's mother, Laila, challenges traditional boundaries between servant and employer.
The film marks the directorial debut of Sarah Goher, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mohamed Diab. The production was supported by several companies, including Foxxhole Productions and Immersive Studios, with Jamie Foxx serving as one of the producers. The cast features Doha Ramadan in the lead role of Toha, alongside Nelly Karim as Laila, Sherif Salama as Asser, and Hanan Motawie as Nadia. This Egyptian production has a total runtime of 91 minutes.
