Lou Wells returns to her childhood home on Kangaroo Island in South Australia after her acting career in Hollywood fails. Struggling with financial instability and a lack of direction, she accepts a trip offered by her father, Rory, with whom she has a strained relationship. The reunion brings long-standing family tensions to the surface, and the situation grows more complex when Lou and her sister, Freya, discover a secret regarding their father.
