Marty Supreme follows the life of Marty Mauser, an ambitious young man determined to become a world champion in table tennis. Set against the backdrop of New York, the story depicts his relentless pursuit of athletic glory and the various risks he takes to compete internationally. His obsession leads him into a world of bets and unconventional alliances, often causing conflict with those around him as he strives to prove his capabilities to a skeptical public.
The film was directed by Josh Safdie, marking his seventh feature following Adam Sandler: Love You. Written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein, the production features Timothée Chalamet in the title role alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary, Tyler, The Creator, and Fran Drescher. Produced by A24 and Central Pictures, the project had a budget of 65 million USD and earned 192 million USD at the worldwide box office.
