This documentary examines the significant role of evangelicalism within the political system of Brazil. Director Petra Costa investigates how religious leaders influence government affairs, featuring interviews with prominent figures such as President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and former President Jair Bolsonaro. The film also focuses on a well-known televangelist who seeks to guide the direction of right-wing leadership.

Written and produced by Petra Costa, this project follows her previous work, The Edge of Democracy. The production was a collaboration between companies from Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including Plan B Entertainment and Doc Society. The film features appearances by Silas Malafaia, Elizete Malafaia, and Alexandre de Moraes, alongside Costa herself.
