Traitor

Traitor is a 2008 action thriller about an FBI investigation into an international terrorist network. Agent Roy Clayton leads the inquiry, and the evidence keeps pointing to Samir Horn, a former United States Special Operations officer. Horn has spent time in a Yemeni prison, where he formed a bond with the extremist Omar, and he appears to surface near operations before disappearing again. As Clayton follows the case across several countries, he has to work out what Horn is actually doing and whose side he is on.

The film was directed and written by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, and it is the first of the two features he has directed, followed by Replicas in 2018. Don Cheadle plays Samir Horn and also produced, alongside Jeffrey Silver and David Hoberman. Guy Pearce plays Roy Clayton, with Neal McDonough as Max Archer, Saïd Taghmaoui as Omar, Jeff Daniels as Carter and Alyy Khan as Fareed Mansour.

Made for about 22 million US dollars, Traitor took in roughly 24 million US dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.9 out of 10 from around 61,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.7 out of 10 from about 745 votes. A critics' rating of 6.4 out of 10 from 167 reviews puts it close to the audience scores on both sites, so viewers and critics have judged it in broadly similar terms.
