Der Vierer

A long-term couple struggles with a lack of intimacy and a general disconnect in their relationship. In an attempt to revitalize their connection, they agree to invite two friends to join them for a sexual encounter. However, the experiment does not go according to plan, and the gathering quickly descends into a disaster.

This German and Austrian comedy was directed by Iván Sáinz-Pardo, following his previous works Minor Key and Fish Bones. Sáinz-Pardo also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Torben Struck and Florian David Fitz. The film stars Florian David Fitz as Paul and Julia Koschitz as Sophie, with supporting roles played by Friedrich Mücke, Lucía Barrado, Diyar Ilhan, and Jens Atzorn. It was produced by Quirin Berg, Max Wiedemann, and Torben Struck through a collaboration between Wiedemann & Berg Film, Leonine Studios, Epo-Film, and NEOS Film.
