Punching the World

Set in the Saxon province of Germany around the turn of the millennium, this drama follows two brothers, Philipp and Tobias, as they grow up amidst the decay of their region. While their parents attempt to build a new home to secure the family's future, the dream collapses into a reality of violence and instability. The boys face a lack of opportunity and the lingering effects of the East German era, while their household disintegrates as their father loses his job. As nationalist tensions rise in nearby Dresden and refugees arrive in their village, the brothers react differently to their environment, with one withdrawing and the other turning his anger outward.

The film was written and directed by Constanze Klaue. The cast features Anton Franke and Camille Loup Moltzen as the brothers, alongside Anja Schneider and Christian Näthe as their parents. Produced by Chromosom Filmproduktion and Flare Film, the movie has a runtime of 110 minutes. Since its release in April 2025, it has received a rating of 6.5/10 on TMDB based on 15 votes.
