Maria, I'm Dying!

This Mexican comedy centers on a man who suffers from severe hypochondria. He believes himself to be uniquely susceptible to deadly versions of common illnesses, such as the cold. The story follows the strain this obsession places on his wife, who manages his anxiety until he eventually chooses to address his fear of death.

Gabriela Sobarzo directed the film, which followed her 2023 project Malcriados and her 2024 film Dog Life. It was released on October 31, 2024, and precedes her 2025 work, Holy Padel. Aníbal Herrera wrote the screenplay, and the cast features Natalia Téllez as María and Ricardo Fastlicht as Rodrigo, alongside José Sefami, Paz Bascuñan, Minnie West, and Tato Alexander.
