Country Queer

Benoît has created a private sanctuary in the French countryside, finding personal freedom while navigating a rural environment that often conflicts with his identity. Seeking to move beyond seclusion, he joins other queer individuals from the region to organize the first Pride event in the Périgord vert. The project serves as a way for the community to claim public space, celebrate their identities, and create a new path for others.

This documentary was directed by Antoine Vazquez, following his 2024 film Frioul. The production was handled by Survivance and Novanima Productions, with Marc Faye and Carine Chichkowsky serving as producers. Released on March 4, 2026, the film has a total runtime of 84 minutes.
