Flamingos: Life After the Meteorite

This Mexican documentary follows Caribbean flamingos as they navigate the difficult process of finding a mate and a suitable location to start a family. The film focuses on the birds' struggle for survival and perseverance during one of the most vulnerable periods of their lives. The production features music by Bryce Dessner and narration by Julieta Venegas to accompany the footage of the animals' challenges.

Lorenzo Hagerman directed the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Ajo Martín de la Hoz. This project is the second film Hagerman has directed, following his 2011 work 0.56% What happened to Mexico?. The 81-minute production was a collaboration between several companies, including Pimienta Films, Cactus Docs, La Vaca Independiente, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with José Cohen serving as producer. Julieta Venegas appears in the main cast as the narrator.
