Mike's New Car

Mike's New Car is a short animated film in which Mike, the one-eyed monster, gets a new six-wheel-drive car packed with gadgets and wants to show it off to his friend and coworker Sulley. What begins as a proud demonstration turns into a chaotic outing as the vehicle's many buttons, levers and switches prove far harder to handle than Mike expected, and Sulley gets drawn into the mishap. The film is a spin-off from Monsters, Inc. and reunites the two leads from that film.

The short was directed by Pete Docter, following Monsters, Inc. in his directing chronology, with Roger Gould as co-director. Docter also produced it with Gale Gortney. Billy Crystal and John Goodman return as the voices of Mike and Sulley. Running about three minutes, it was released in 2002 by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar.

On IMDb it holds a rating of 7 out of 10 from around 16,000 votes, and on TMDB it has a rating of 6.9 out of 10 from roughly 782 votes, indicating a generally favourable response from viewers.
