Daria in 'Is It Fall Yet?'

Daria Morgendorffer is sixteen, too sharp and too funny to fit in, and facing a summer that refuses to go her way. Forced into volunteering at a camp for the emotionally sensitive, she has to get through the season while her friend Jane is still nursing a grudge over Daria's relationship with Tom, Jane's former boyfriend. Quinn spends the break in summer school with a young teacher, while Brittany and Kevin take on jobs as lifeguards.

The film follows the animated series Daria, itself a spin-off of Beavis and Butt-Head, and arrives as a television movie released in August 2000 between the show's fourth and fifth seasons. Karen Disher and Guy Moore directed from a screenplay by Glenn Eichler and Peggy Nicoll. Tracy Grandstaff voices Daria, with Wendy Hoopes handling Jane, Quinn and Helen, alongside Alvaro J. Gonzalez, Russell Hankin, Jessica Cydnee Jackson and Julián Rebolledo.

Made by MTV Animation and MTV Networks, the 75-minute television film carries an IMDb rating of 8.1 from roughly 4,400 votes and a TMDB rating of 7.4 from a much smaller group of voters. Both directors went on to further animation work, Disher with a short featuring Sid and a Christmas special built around the Ice Age series, and Moore with a feature based on Codename: Kids Next Door.
