Mr. Nobody Against Putin

Set during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this documentary examines how primary schools in remote Russian regions were converted into war recruitment centers. The film follows a teacher who struggles with the ethical implications of working within a system fueled by violence and propaganda. To expose the reality of these conditions, he goes undercover to secretly record the events unfolding within his own school.

Directed and written by David Borenstein, this is the second film in his career following Can't Feel Nothing. The production was a collaboration between companies from Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Czech Republic, including ZDF and BBC Storyville. The cast features Pavel Talankin appearing as himself, alongside archive footage of figures such as Vladimir Putin, Roman Abalin, Lavrentiy Beria, Viktor Abakumov, and Leon Trotsky.
