This documentary examines the aftermath of Franz Kafka's death and the decision made by his friend, Max Brod. Although Kafka requested that his unpublished writings be destroyed, Brod disregarded these wishes and published the manuscripts instead. This choice introduced the author's work to a global audience and initiated a century-long narrative involving multiple generations, eventually culminating in a legal battle.
