Red Forest

Red Forest is a documentary focused on the struggle of ecological activists in Western France. The group works to prevent the destruction of a forest intended for a new airport project. The film follows their efforts to resist police force and evacuations while establishing a permanent occupied zone designed to protect the environment and foster a community based on solidarity. This conflict is presented as a David and Goliath story, contrasting the activists' small-scale resources against larger institutional interests.

The film was directed by Laurie Lassalle and produced by Frédéric Féraud. It was produced in France through a collaboration between Wrong Films, Pictanovo, CNC, and Région Hauts-de-France. Released on January 14, 2026, the documentary has a runtime of 104 minutes.
