Out Cold

Out Cold is a comedy set in Bull Mountain, a small Alaska ski resort where Rick Rambis and his friends spend their days snowboarding and partying. Their way of life is threatened when the resort's founder dies and his son, Ted Muntz, arranges to sell the mountain to John Majors, a Colorado businessman who intends to turn the place into an upscale destination for wealthy visitors. Rick and his friends, joined by Majors's daughters Inga and Anna, set out to stop the sale and preserve Bull Mountain as it is.

The film was directed by Brendan Malloy and Emmett Malloy, their first feature, from a screenplay by Jon Zack. Jason London leads the cast as Rick Rambis, with Lee Majors as John Majors, Zach Galifianakis as Luke, Victoria Silvstedt as Inga, David Koechner as Stumpy and Willie Garson as Ted Muntz. Lauren Shuler Donner, Michael Aguilar and Jonathan Glickman produced. Running 89 minutes, it was made for a budget of 24 million USD and took about 15 million USD worldwide, a modest return.

Audience response has been middling: on IMDb it holds 6.3/10 from roughly 19,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9/10 from a much smaller sample. A film critics' rating of 3.6/10 from 49 reviews places it well below the audience figures.
