Blind Ants

Upcoming and set in 1935, this drama follows the aftermath of a storm in Bizkaia that leaves an English coal ship stranded on a sandbank. As the people of Algorta rush to the coast to collect the cargo, Sabas Jauregui sees the wreck as a chance for fortune. Despite warnings and pleas from others, including his wife Josefa, Sabas forces his children into the violent weather to secure the fuel, risking the safety of his family to survive the coming winter.

Directed by Igor Legarreta, this film is the second project he has led following All the Moons from 2020. Legarreta also co-wrote the screenplay with Andoni de Carlos. The production is a collaboration between companies from Spain and Belgium, including Atresmedia and Caviar Antwerp NV. The movie is categorized as an adventure thriller with a total runtime of 101 minutes. It is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026.
