Cazuza: Good News

This documentary examines the final two years of the life of Brazilian musician Cazuza. Spanning from his AIDS diagnosis in 1987 until his death in 1989, the film focuses on a period of intense artistic production and personal struggle. Through a collection of rare and controversial archival footage, photos, and interviews with friends and family, the film tracks the evolution of his music and the impact he had on his peers and the broader Brazilian music scene.

The project was directed by Roberto Moret and Nilo Romero, with Romero also serving as the screenwriter. Romero, who worked as Cazuza's music producer, appears in the film alongside other figures such as George Israel, Léo Jaime, Arthur Dapieve, and Frejat. The production was handled by 5e60 Filmes and Canal Curta! in Brazil. Released on July 17, 2025, the film has a runtime of 91 minutes.
