Girl Climber

Girl Climber is a documentary about professional climber Emily Harrington as she attempts to ascend El Capitan in Yosemite within 24 hours. Having previously climbed Everest and other high peaks, Harrington seeks to establish her place in a field largely dominated by men. The story focuses on her internal struggle between professional ambition and her biological clock, a conflict that intensifies after a fall that nearly costs her her life. Through this experience, she examines the risks she is willing to take to prove her skill among the elite climbers of Yosemite.

The film was directed by Jon Glassberg, following his 2018 project Magic Mushroom. It was produced by Red Bull Studios, Louder Than Eleven, and Tyler Young Films in the United States. The adventure documentary has a runtime of 83 minutes and features Emily Harrington appearing as herself, alongside Adrian Ballinger, Alex Honnold, and Sanni McCandless.
