Surviving Ohio State

This documentary examines the sexual abuse scandal involving Richard Strauss, a sports doctor at The Ohio State University. Over a twenty-year period, Strauss abused hundreds of students, leading to a prolonged struggle by the survivors to secure accountability and justice. The film also addresses allegations that university leadership ignored the behavior of their employee.

Directed by Eva Orner, this project follows her 2024 film Brandy Hellville & the Cult of Fast Fashion. The production was a collaboration between Smoke House Pictures, HBO Sports Documentaries, and 101/Sports Illustrated Studios, with George Clooney, David Glasser, and Orner serving as producers. The film features archive footage of Jim Jordan.
