Bait

Alvin Sanders is a low-level thief who ends up in prison sharing a cell with John Jaster, one of the criminals responsible for stealing millions in gold from the treasury. Before Jaster dies, he gives Alvin a coded message intended for his wife. Federal investigator Edgar Clenteen believes this message holds the key to finding the stolen gold and the remaining thief. To uncover the truth, Clenteen arranges for Alvin's release, unaware that the man is being used as bait to lure out the dangerous fugitive. While Alvin hopes to start over with his girlfriend, he becomes a pawn in a high-stakes government operation.
