Red Code Blue

Set in the mid-1990s, this Latvian crime drama follows Romāns Skulte, a young detective who begins working at the Riga Central Precinct. As he faces the difficult reality of street crime, his initial idealism fades. He eventually concludes that fighting urban criminality requires him to ignore legal rules and ethical standards.

The film was written and directed by Oskars Rupenheits, who also served as a producer alongside Sintija Andersone and Juris Pīlēns. Raitis Stūrmanis stars in the lead role of Romāns Skulte, supported by a cast that includes Armands Guļāns, Indulis Miglavs, Alvis Vinters, Viesturs Berkmanis, and Oskars Balts. A total of 27 actors are credited in the production. The movie was produced through a collaboration between Vino Films, KEF Studio, fon Films, and Juris Podnieks Studio. With a runtime of 150 minutes, the film was released on October 10, 2025.
