Thirteen Sector

Thirteen Sector is a documentary that explores the emergence of football hooliganism in Kazakhstan. The film examines a growing underground counterculture that blends European ultras and British hooligan styles with local traditions. Through access to a notorious firm originating from Aktobe, the production tracks the group's activities, including street patrols and forest fights, as they prepare for a major annual derby.

Directed by Jake Hanrahan, this is the first of three films released by the director in 2026, followed by English Ultraviolence and Forza on the Run. The production was handled by the United Kingdom based company H11 Studio. The cast includes Hanrahan, who served as both producer and reporter, alongside Jonny Pickup as director of photography, Louis Hollis on second camera, and Sam Black providing the music. The finished film has a runtime of 26 minutes.
