A Scary Movie

A Scary Movie is a documentary about a father and his twelve-year-old son who spend their summer break at a vacant hotel in Lisbon. The film focuses on their experience staying in the abandoned building, which evokes the atmosphere of the hotel featured in the movie The Shining.

The project was written and directed by Sergio Oksman, marking his second feature following his 2018 film Querido Fotogramas. Produced through a collaboration between Terratreme, Ferdydurke Films, and DOK Films, the production is a joint effort between Spain and Portugal. The cast features Sergio Oksman and Nuno Oksman appearing as themselves, alongside Daniel Blaufuks and Ana Moreira. The film has a runtime of 72 minutes.
