Joan of Arc

Three siblings in the Icelandic wilderness build a realistic figure resembling a knight. As the seasons change, the children spend their time both constructing and destroying the sculpture, eventually subjecting it to a barrage of arrows. The story follows their lives through this cycle of creation and demolition.

This comedy-drama was written and directed by Hlynur Pálmason, following his previous works A White, White Day, Godland, and The Love That Remains. The film features a cast including Ída Mekkín Hlynsdóttir, Grímur Hlynsson, Þorgils Hlynsson, Elín Ósk Óskarsdóttir, and Hrafn Thrainsson. A co-production between Denmark, Iceland, and France, the project was produced by Snowglobe, Maneki Films, and Still Vivid. The final movie has a runtime of 61 minutes.
