Antarctica - Domain One

This documentary explores the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands, specifically a region called Domain 1. The film follows an expedition dedicated to surfing, documenting, and researching this environment to highlight its vulnerability to global warming. It examines the importance of establishing a Marine Protected Area in the region to help manage human impact, such as intensive fishing, and to mitigate the effects of climate change.

The film was produced in Argentina by Gauchos del Mar and A Small Company, with a screenplay by Diego Fió. It was co-directed by Julián Azulay and Joaquín Azulay, who also served as a producer. This project follows their previous collaborations on Transcending Waves in 2019 and African Territory 2 in 2023. The cast features Julián Azulay, Joaquín Azulay, Rodolfo Werner, and Manuel Novillo appearing as themselves. The narration is provided by Ricardo Darín and Kelly Slater.
