Darng

Darng is a Thai drama about a man of mixed Thai and African heritage whose life is shaped by the circumstances of his birth. The story follows him as he reckons with a past he did not choose, growing up as the child of an American soldier and a sex worker whose encounter was brief and unplanned. At 28 minutes, the film is a compact character study, focused on one man's experience rather than a broad historical sweep.

The film was released in July 2020 and was written and directed by Monthapoom Sumonvarangkul, with Napatsawan Mongklosomboon producing. It is set in Thailand and belongs to the drama genre.
