Sciatunostro

Sciatunostro is a story about two children, Ettore and Giovannino, who spend their youth together on an island in the Mediterranean. When Ettore has to move to the mainland for his education at the end of the summer, Giovannino is left to cope with the loss of his companion. During a long winter, he finds solace through the video camera and recorded archives of Pino, an elderly local amateur videographer.

The film was written and directed by Leandro Picarella, who also served as a producer alongside Luca Scarabelli. This project is the second film in Picarella's directing career, following his 2025 work, Signals of Life. The Italian production was supported by RAI Cinema, Qoomoon, Albedo Production, and WellSee. It was released on April 9, 2026.
